No respect

The L.A. Kings kicked the shit out of the Ottawa Senators last night, 3-0. It was an awesome game. The Senators are the number one team in the Eastern Division, so this wasn't an easy win.

Why am I babbling on about this, (especially given that many of you are Kings fans)? Because, as I'm driving to work the sports report spends about two minutes on a story about the Lakers changing hotels in Sacramento. Then as an after thought then mention that the Kings won. They didn't even mention the score. Nothing. Just a quick 'By the way...", and yet everytime Kobe breaks wind there is a significant amount of time given to it. It's bad enough that the NHL is given little mention as is, but the talk to most people about the Kings and they think you like a Sacramento basketball team, not a Los Angeles hockey team.

Who is to blame for this? I'm thinking the NHL needs to do more to promote the sport. The NHL commisioner should be held to task for the lack of respect given to the NHL.
