So screwed...
Once again I join the ranks of the unemployed. And, worse, didn't get shit for severance. Just vacation/sick time. Nice, eh? Note to self: never, ever, work for companies that started out in the porn industry. There seems to be a prevalent attitude that it's okay to fuck over employees and that doing anything to make a buck, including fucking over employees, is priority one.
Yup, I'm feeling bitter. It's not that I didn't expect this, especially when another programmer got the shaft earlier this week, after all my boss and I never hit it off (his fault, I got treated like shit from day one), plus I was the newest guy. Who do they always fire first? The new guy. In my case I got the shaft second, but I think that's only because I was on vacation earlier this week.
What really gets me is that I didn't have the satisfaction of quitting before they could fire me. I have a job prospect all lined up, and it looks like it could be good, but it is moving slower than I'd hoped. Now I'll have to see if I can get things rolling a bit quicker.
Fuck! The thing that really sucks is that I have to move faster than I would if I had even two weeks severance. Bastards.

Oh no, not again! Hopefully, this won't drag on like last time.
Oh yeah, you might want to make a note: don't mention "getting the shaft" and "the porn industry" in the same blog. Perverts like me will think of something else. ;)

Cheer up, you hated that job anyhow. And I kept my promise that you could not work there after three months. Of course, I rather meant for you to QUIT. :-/
Have another beer Ron, you're not toasted enough yet.;)
