Funky Town
The root canal wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. I think the anticipation was the worst thing. Of course I can't feel the bottom half of my face, so it might start to suck later. I also have the weirdest ache/itch kind of sensation in the tooth that got worked on. I want to itch my jawbone.
The most surreal moment was sitting the in dentist chair, with him drilling away, and hearing 'Funky Town' on the radio. It is just not a song I associate with having my tooth hollowed out. It reminded me of the scene in 'A Clockwork Orange' when Alex is forced to listen to Beethoven while under going his 'treatment'. Now, whenever I hear 'Funky Town' I'll think of dental drills.
