Burn out
Being that this is virtual Friday for me, I am having a hard time concentrating on work. I'm writing code to plot data. I have to draw into an image, but the plot itself uses polar coordinates, the labels and other graphics use Cartesian coordinates and doing the conversions between the two is tedious at best. There is also the fact that I'm not used to thinking on the origin as being in the upper left corner of the image, being that in mathematics it is usually set in the lower left. I also have to do the math to find the x,y coordinate for a point on a circle, which is pretty simple, but then I have to translate that point into the image shifted by a certain amount so it fits into the coordinates on the circular plot. It's been at least 7 or 8 years since I had to think about shit like this and I'm very rusty.
It's interesting stuff, for sure. But my mind isn't on it at all right now...
After all, I only have 259137 seconds to go...
