I'm not real happy about my job or the fact that I am now living in Tarzana. I am settling in to my new place though. I guess it can't be helped; I have to live here, I might as well try and get comfortable.
I actually got most of my books put away over the weekend. I get cable next Saturday and DSL should be set up soon. One good thing is I'll be able to get 1.5Mbps down on the DSL line. Mmmm, bandwidth...
Alex and I went to the Kings game on Saturday night, thanks to a perk from work; they have tickets to all Staples Center events and since there aren't many hockey fans at work we got free tickets in the premier seats. It was a great game, made even better by the 2-0 score (Ziggy got both goals, one was an empty net).
Things won't be so bad once I have net access and cable. Still, I live in Trazana...
Vicki and I spent Monday and Tuesday moving me into my new appartment in Tarzana. I hate moving. I thought I was tired and sore from hockey (I was!), but add to that being tired and sore from moving. Yuck. My whole body hurts.
I couldn't have done it without Vicki. She got things organized and did more work than I did. I think I'll keep her. ;-)
The only down side is I'm ofline at home until I can get DSL, but I can't do that until I get my phone line. I don't get that until the 22nd. Then who knows how long it'll take for the DSL line... I can still get my email from work, so it's not too bad.
BTW, I have a new AIM handle for work: edlitmus
I'm using Linux at work and the AIM clients don't like my mac.com AIM handle, so I just made a new one. I guess this way you can tell if I'm at work or not...
Here I am, trying to nurse my wounded ass, which I hurt playing hockey, and now I'm being viciously attacked by a female!! Oh, please help!!
I get to couch surf again. This time at Alex's place. He works for the company that I'm going to be working for, so it will be pretty convinient. Hopefully I'll be able to find a place soon...
Lysa's big questions:
1. Were you raised in a particular religious faith?
Nope. Thank god.
2. Do you still practice that faith? Why or why not?
A practicing atheist? Yeah, I suppose so.
3. What do you think happens after death?
Ask me when I'm dead. I'm pretty damn sure that I won't be able to answer, cause I'll be dead.
4. What is your favorite religious ritual (participating in or just observing)?
The Discordian ritual of drinking guinness for no good reason. I just made it up, but it sounds like lots of fun!
5. Do you believe people are basically good?
No. I think they are basically indifferent, but with strong tendancies toward being idiots. "Never attibute to Evil that which can be explained by Stupidity." -- Robert A. Heinlein
