Thanks for coming out! (Again)

Thanks to all came out tonight (well, last night now). Flying 2000+ miles to play these shows has been a lot of fun, but jet lag just kills me.

Look for more gigs coming up. I don't know if I'll be coming out for those or not. We will see.

Oh and BTW...

So the guys all decided (and I totally support the decision) that they really want to keep doing gigs. Maybe not as frequently as in the old days, but Litmus Green is definitely back. I won't be playing with them (unless it's something really special), since flying 2000 miles every time there is a gig would be stupid and practicing by myself sucks. Lare has been a fantastic replacement and truth be told I asked him to join way back when for just that purpose. That and having two guitars sounds awesome. And to keep him from joining stupid bands out of boredom.

Anyway. Long story short (to late): Litmus Green lives!

No, really. Not confirmed yet, and it'll be 18+, but it's a gig. Maybe. I'll update when I have confirmation.

No news yet. Maybe later. No, I'm not happy about the situation.

Ok, some news

Not all good, but not all bad either.

Here's the thing: There are no all ages clubs anymore. The few that were around have all either switched to 18 or 21 and up or have been shut down or just won't book punk anymore.

I am reasonably sure we will have an early Nov show with a really cool band, but it'll be 21+.

We are still working on the all ages show, and still hope for the end of the month, but it will probably be in LA, not Riverside.

And here's the lesson kiddies: All the cool venues that did punk shows that are still around won't book all ages punk because the clubs end up getting trashed, or there are too many fights, etc. So all you kids under 18 who are wondering why there are no all ages shows? Now you know why. All the remaining all ages venues won't touch bands like Litmus Green.

Still the situation isn't totally hopeless and I should have more news by the end of the week.

Band practice

Yeah, that's right. Litmus Green got together and practiced a set list on Saturday. It didn't suck as much as we thought it might.

I flew in for it. I'll fly in again for practice on the 29th. They practice without me otherwise and I'll practice here at home.
