Samaritans, the Good Kind

It's been well over 100 degrees this week. Working outside during this time of the year gets painful. Imagine running 10 hours a day in this heat. Now imagine you get short breaks by sitting in an uninsulated metal box.

That's my job.

Today I recieved 5 bottles of water and 2 sodas from people who didn't have to take the time. Delievering stuff to their homes and businesses is what I unfortunately have to do, but so many people ended up giving me water just from the kindness of their heart.

Or maybe I just looked that pathetic???

Either way, it was another reminder that some people are truly nice. And in times like this, it's a pleasant surprise to see that.

Geez, is that all it takes to make you happy? Come over, I'll give you a bottle of water! ;)

Look, all you people work indoors. You can't possibly appreciate cold water like I do.

That's not true....I live in Riverside.
I fully appreciate the merits of cold water, on days when it's 87 in our home, WITH THE AIR ON. :)

I know one thing about cold water -- it makes kids wanna pee every 5 seconds. That's why "Aquafina" is banned in my classroom.
