I've been on vacation all week and yesterday I took a major step forward. I attempted to go through my stuff and throw away everything I didn't need.
I am a "Pack Rat."
So far it's DAY TWO and twice has a trash can been filled. I'm wondering what will be revealed.
Here's a quick list of some of the crap I found:
Animage Feb. 2 1987 (anime magazine completely in japanese - has an issue of Nausicaa in back!)
Protoculture Addicts #4 (Robotech fanzine)
Dragon Oct. 1989 (for the serious D&D squid)
Olympic Souvenir Book 1984 (from the L.A. summer games)
White Fang 1980 (from the 3rd grade book fair. The first book I ever bought. Still haven't read it)
D&D Players Handbook 1st ed. 1978 (and loads of other books - "The Keep on the Borderlands," "Forgotten Realms 1st ed., etc.)
Gunship & F-15E Strike Eagle for the Commodore 64 (manuals included)
Reverb unit from an old ampeg guitar head (I sold the amp in 1990)
Various old tapes (Apocalypse, Liberty, The Ejected, anyone?)
1 sandal (don't remember ever owning any sandals)
L.A. Kings Playoff reciept 5-2-02 (Rick, Ed, Nicky, Mat, and I went)
Two record players (neither work)
You big nerd.

Posted by: lysa on March 28, 2003 12:08 PMI forgot to mention the things NOT in my room:
Be Boxes
ancient ethernet cards
valkyrie models
excess CAT5 cable
What nerd would have those?
Well, maybe I do have the cable.
D&D??? nerd, f-15 and robotech are keepers. the D&D definetly has to go.
Posted by: Lewis on March 28, 2003 03:44 PMI'm not surprised one bit...except for the sandal. How the hell did that get in there???
Posted by: Linda on March 28, 2003 04:29 PMThe Kings were in the playoffs?
Ha-ha! Just kidding!:)
Posted by: vicki on March 28, 2003 04:36 PMBah, i've run a D&D campaign for the past 8 or 9 years with the same group of guys and it's anything but nerds. You just haven't played with the right people.
Don't throw that stuff away, send it to me. I'll packrat it for the apocalypse.
