Cruise...

Hello from Santa Catalina, almost. brendi and I are spending our 1 year anniversary on a cruise. It's loads of fun so we'll write more later. Afterall, we have to eat 10 to 12 times a day as instructed by the cruise director (I know, it's difficult)

btw Ed, the sushi bar on board is free.

Next up is Mexico.

Meanwhile...

I haven't blogged on a regular basis. Work has been so busy that there's little time to blog. So here's what's been up...

We Are Worthy!
A few weeks ago Ed and Vicki came out for my birthday. Hitting the Stone Brewing's 8th Anniversary party was a load of fun. Aside from multiple microbrews handing out liquid glory, we got free Arrogant Bastard Battered Onion Rings and we surrounded by other beer snobs (not fizzy yellow beer drinking wussies). It's amazing how acres of beer can erase the long lines and highway traffic. We later got an email apologizing for the inconvenience. They promised to fix the problems next year (fewer people, more breweries). Best beer of the day: Stone's 8th Anniversary Ale!

If the Kids Are United...
... the old guys should stay out of the pit. Dragging Ed into the pit at 7 Seconds later that night was a bad idea. Reality has an interesting way of saying, "Get out idiot, you're too old for this!" That message comes in the way of Ed being knocked to the floor and being dragged down with him. Stupid adults. It's also great to raise your Guinness to songs like "Young Until I Die."

New Dad
Brendi's dad has been visiting us whenever he can. The guy is totally awesome and it's great to have him in the family.

Brown Out
UPS drivers all calling in sick together leaves management in a most foul mood. It's quite amusing to witness.

Fun 'til the Pigs Come Round
The Warpigs seem to bring out the worst in people. Believe me, we are fine, it's the other teams that I'm referring to. When you realize that every other team can out-skate, out-puckhandle, and out-shoot us, yet we still seem to make a close game of it, certain primadonnas get their panties in a bunch. Once again, it's amusing to watch.

End of the Century...

It is often said that musical development ends with Bach. I say guitar playing begins with Johnny Ramone. Without Johnny, none of the music I grew up to would exist.

Rest well Johnny.

With 3/4 of this most important band gone, nobody in Heaven is going to get any sleep.
