Self Destruct...

Last night was the scariest night of my life. Some events affect you. Some scar you for life.

Poppies Will Put Them To sleep...

Someone had an idea. It was a really bad idea. It went something like this:

Let's get some punk bands and have them play pop song covers

I really didn't need to hear Sloppy Seconds do the Sammy Davis Jr. "Candyman."

Snakebit...

Someone on my team named me Snakebit. If I miss a wide open net again, or have a goalie make some incredible toe save on me AGAIN, I'll hang it up.

'Pigs on Hold...

I think we're all sick of having our games cancelled on us. Rather than one game a week, it's becoming play one game, skip two weeks, play sat and sun for the next three weeks. Inconsistent scheduling keeps your team out of sync (although we usually get back fairly quick) and makes other weekend activities a bitch to plan.

At least I can get my puck fix on TV. Oh wait, scratch that idea.

Dog Beach...

Every coastal city should have a Dog Beach. Today was our first visit to Huntington Dog Beach. It was the best time I've had at the beach in ages. Support this now http://dogbeach.org/

My dog and a HUGE St. Bernard.

Cruise (Part 2)

If you ever have the time and the money, take a cruise. It's a floating party. You can drink until your face slides off your skull (like I did), or just until you can't feel your face at all (like Brendi). If you just want to lay out on the top deck and rest, then you can do that too. Rather than go on and on and sounding like a commercial, just take my word and go.

Something interesting about our trip. The crew is truly international. There were 890 crew members from 57 countries. We had an Italian bridge crew, Russian cabin stewards, Czech coffee makers, Slovakian chefs, Hungarian waiters, Aussie spa members, Brit and Irish pursers, a sushi chef from the Phillipines, etc. The UN could learn a thing or two.

Check these out:
Cargo ships with all your cameras and Hondas enroute to San Pedro.
Us, drunk.
Avalon, Santa Catalina Island.
The mean bird on the rail.
Leaving Catalina.
While in Ensenada, Brendi sprouted a huge flag from her head.
Ensenada again.
After a night of fun, we found someone sleeping in our bed.
Our awesome Hungarian servers. Very, very cool people.
On the way home.
